This is the last of the “before” pictures from the wrecking yard that burned. Not sure if it really matters if this one survived or not. It looks like it was pretty much dead anyway.

1965-76 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I

 

Rolls built the Silver Shadow I from 1965 to 1976, and the Silver Shadow II from 1977 to 1980. The only thing that identifies this one as a Silver Shadow I, is the grille slots below the headlights.

1972 AMC Javelin

This Javelin resides at the wrecking yard that burned. Did it survive the heat? Stay tuned for “after” pictures to be posted soon.

1957 Mercury Monterey

Another one from the yard that burned. Isaac used his psychic detective skills to ID this one. If you look closely, you can see the shadow of an M left by a long lost Monterey badge on the fender. With that clue he found a match on Wikipedia.

1962 GMC Pickup

According to the 6066 GMC guy, 1962 is the only year of this hood with clear turn signal lenses.

This truck is in the same yard as the Dodge in my last post. Notice the labels on the barrels surrounding it 😳. I highly doubt that this one survived the fire 😞.

1948 – 51 Dodge Pickup

Isaac and I found this old Dodge a couple months ago in a wrecking yard full of cool old cars. This is one of a few photos we shot before the owner shooed us away. Last week there was a huge fire out there. It is reported that 50% of the yard was burned. We haven’t been back to see if the Dodge survived.

This Caddy passed me on my way home from work. It was going too fast for my little Brat to keep up.

1975 – 76 Jensen GT

I saw this Jensen GT on my way home from work a few days ago. Every time I approached to pass, he would look at me, smile, and speed up. My ’85 Brat was no match 😳.

1965 Ford Thunderbird

Interestingly, out of the three Thunderbirds we’ve previously featured, two of them have been 1965 models like this one. For some reason they seem to be relatively common around here.
